Rachel, a native Kentuckian, has been a professional Key West wedding photographer for over a decade. The passion for the art and business of photography began while she was a student at Northern Kentucky University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Photography. Through her undergraduate studies, she traveled abroad and captured images and faces all over the world. This is where her photography style emerged...Capturing people in their environment in a very natural way.
Education, dedication, and passion are what sets her work apart from all the rest. She is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America. She photographs from the heart. She takes time to get to know her clients personally via phone calls and meetings prior to the Big Day. Ultimately creating the natural moments every client desires when hiring a professional.
Her photography style is a balance of a traditional approach with an artistic vision. Key West is a magical place to say your "I Do's" and to share special moments with your family. The goal for Rachel is to provide you and your family with vibrant true to life island images you will cherish for a lifetime!

After working on her own for over a decade, Rachel is thrilled to welcome Jess to the team! She is a talented photographer who has had a taste for adventure throughout her whole life, which is something that fits perfectly with the personality of Key West.
As a kid, her parents referred to Jess as their “hippie-vagabond” child, and in many ways, not much has changed. She always yearned to do exciting, creative work. In fact, her childhood dream was to be a photographer for National Geographic. Throughout the years, she has dabbled in many professions. In her words, “You name it, I’ve done it!” She has worked as a server, bartender, limo driver, nursing assistant, massage therapist, and even in a flower company’s call center. While she appreciated the variety of these roles and the chance to interact with many types of people, they did not inspire a true passion in her.
A constant thread throughout her journey has been the desire to document all of the beautiful things in her life, so she never stopped shooting. About five years ago, her dad gave her some wise advice over Thanksgiving, telling her, “Follow your passion, kid!” One month later, she did just that. She left Tampa for colorful Key West and never looked back. Here, she renewed her love for taking nature photos, specifically honing her skills in underwater photography. To this day, Jessica goes snorkeling any chance she can get in hopes of capturing that one perfect shot.
It was here in Key West that Jess and Rachel were introduced by a mutual friend and local wedding planner, Nicole with Simply You Weddings. Not only did they begin a professional relationship, but they also became good friends! Rachel describes Jess as a rockstar and is so excited to have such talent by her side. Together, these photographers are a true dream team!
“Working weddings with Rachel has been one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given. She is teaching me hands on skills that I would never get in a classroom. She's given me confidence, a chance to grow as a photographer, and the opportunity to follow my passion!"
"We absolutely loved Rachel as our photographer and we were so thankful to have her be a part of our wedding. Rachel was the only vendor we had who made us feel like all we had to do was show up and the rest would be taken care of. She was professional, helped with wedding timing, had a clear vision and helped us develop ours. Rachel was always prompt, used every minute we had booked with her (plus her own time) and most importantly was interested in making the day special for us in every possible way. As clients, we had a couple special requests for Rachel that she not only met, but far exceeded (we wanted a sparkler picture, a picture to use for post card thank yours and we wanted to incorporate a starfish in our ring pictures). Rachel was also great with our guests making sure we got all the group photos we wanted. Simply put, Rachel is the best to work with, so creative, and gets the most insanely beautiful shots. We would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer." - Heather Cavallaro
"I can not say enough good things about Rachel and about Jessica, they both were beyond amazing! The photos were SO beautiful, she truly captured the happiest day of my life! I am also very grateful for all her help with the planning and organization, she set the timeline and captured all the photos I wanted and more. I had no idea what I was doing when I started planning, I was so disorganized and she took care of everything from timelines to outfit opinions, and provided photo ideas I had missed. My wedding would not have been the same without Rachel, I am so thankful and I highly recommend!" - Megan Robertson
"Rachel, we can not thank you enough for all your talent and passion! You made the entire process start to finish awesome!!! From the first shot to the awesome Pier jump you were professional, flexible, and it was our pleasure to have you capture our day!" - K&K, married at Old Town Manor.
"Love Rachel... She's one amazing photographer, and excellent at what she does. She captures moments that are memorable and her pictures remind me of the fantastic time my friends and family had during my wedding and reception. My husband and I are having such a tough time picking our pictures because there are so many to pick from. I highly recommend her to anyone. Hands down the best photographer I have ever worked with. She's very easy to work with, accommodating and you will have so much fun working with her. If by chance she has Jessica as her assistant during your wedding... SCORE!!! Jessica is fantastic, Love that girl!! 10 stars!!" - Janet Duffy
"Rachel was awesome! The BEST person we worked with on my wedding day, and an incredible photographer to boot (both me and my husband have dabbled in photography too). She met with us the day before the wedding to go over where we would photograph around the hotel grounds and we told her a bit about ourselves, and other special shots we wanted to get. Rachel is very professional, showed up not only early to the meeting, but also more than 30 min before she was scheduled to arrive on the wedding day! I've never seen a photographer were a "utility belt" before, as she came armed with tissues (to help keep us try in pics, despite KW humidity) and extra bobby pins for fly-away hair. (Thank goodness for the tissues, as the whole wedding party needed it!) She got every angle and detail, which was amazing since my family brought quite a bit of the wedding decor and favors from home (ours was a destination wedding). There's not enough room here to say how wonderful Rachel is, as a photographer and as a person. Hire her, and you'll see she's hands-down the best photographer there is."
"When looking for photographers for our wedding, my husband and I set up meetings with several photographers on the same day. Rachel was the first we met and she was everything we wanted and more. Not only is she a talented photographer, but she knew everything we could possibly want to know about having a Key West wedding. Rachel recommended everything to us, from what hotel we should book, where we should have our "first look" to where we should have our reception dinner. Her recommendations were incredible and it was great to have someone who was familiar with the area to rely on. In addition, her prices are consistent with other wedding photographers in Key West. After meeting with Rachel, we went to our second photographer meeting. After that meeting we cancelled all the rest. We knew Rachel was the one for us.On the wedding day, Rachel was there for us every step of the way. She helped us create a schedule for the day and helped us stick to it. She was cheerful and you can really tell that she loves her job. We had family come in from Europe who couldn't speak English, but she still managed to capture such incredible photos of everyone.Everyone loved her. Even my husband, who HATES having his picture taken, was so at ease with Rachel, he actually enjoyed the process. If you're lucky enough for Rachel to have an opening on your wedding day, you are crazy not to snag her." - Sonia
"Saying Rachel was amazing is an understatement. She was one of the incredible parts of my wedding hands down. Rachel's personality made it seem like I was hanging out with a best friend and she made all the nerves disappear. I would recommend her to anyone who needs any sort of photography done while in Key West. Thank you -- from my whole heart -- for making my wedding day incredible. You are amazing!!!! Xo." - Meg Leadbetter
