Kendra + Dave: Key West Wedding

Kendra Spooner and David Wojczynski met at work. They started their relationship fairly casual as it was long distance. It was quickly realized that this casual thing was becoming much more. They continued to date long distance for two years while seeing each other a couple of times a month. Kendra ultimately decided to find a new job in Chicago to be closer to Dave.

After years of dating, they had started looking at engagement rings in an airport on their way to Miami in February 2020. This prompted Kendra to believe that a proposal could be happening very soon! Well, COVID happened. They were quarantined with Dave's three girls, canceled all of their 2020 vacations, and stayed right at home. Kendra told Dave COVID was not an excuse not to get engaged, and she was right! All the more, if you can make it through that, right!? He decided to wait until the very last day of the year to pop the question.

On New Year's Eve, after a day of lounging around they decided to get "dressed up" for their New Year's Eve celebration at home. They played Big Buck Hunter (her Christmas present a couple years ago) drank wine, and laughed until it was time for dinner. Dave arranged for a lobster take out meal and brought out a bottle of Dom Perignon! Oh snap! He then brought out a little blue box! Kendra immediately started crying when she saw the words "Marry Me", and he got down on one knee. Of course she said YES!

They love to travel so coming to Key West for a week of celebration for their wedding made perfect sense! The new Mr and Mrs were married oceanside at the exclusive Casa Marina Resort. They exchanged vows oceanside. Immediately following the vow exchange, guests were greeted with cocktails near the beach. The reception was led by a live band and a whole- lotta fun was had by all!
