Molly and Evan’s Local Key West Fairytale Wedding

Molly Murphy and Evan Dunaway met in the Virgin Islands. Evan lived on St. John and she lived on St. Thomas. Molly went to happy hour on St. John and met a super cute bartender! The very next day they went on a boat trip to the British Virgin Islands with friends and after that day, they were inseparable. They were constantly running to catch the ferry to see each other. Living on different islands never stopped them from seeing each other everyday!

Evan and Molly got engaged on February 22, 2021 and then again the very next day! Evan took her to a beautiful breakfast at Latitudes and their friend who is a boat captain picked them up at Sunset Key. They drove an hour off the coast of Key West out to a small sandbar in the middle of the ocean with no land or boats in sight. As Evan got down on one knee and started to open the box the ring slipped out. It fell out of the placement in the box and directly into the ocean. She never got to see it. They searched for six hours. Friends who were in on the surprise and coming to meet them on different boats to celebrate were instead involved in a huge search party for the engagement ring! After hours of searching, they left. The next day a stranger with a metal detector decided to leave work early and go back to the sandbar and search for the ring. Turns out, the guy found it!  This is when the second proposal happened. The engagement ring now felt like a little piece of treasure after being in the middle of the ocean for over 24 hours.

They were married a year later in the lush greenery of the Key West Botanicals Gardens. Let's just say Key Westers know how to properly celebrate!

Congratulations to you and your families!
