Scott and Sam Capturing Timeless Love : A Key West Wedding Story

As a wedding photographer, I had the honor of witnessing and documenting the beautiful love story of Scott and Sam on their special day. Their journey began in January 2012, after a thrilling game of sloshball in Key West. It was at Wing Masters where their paths crossed, and little did they know that this chance encounter would ignite a love that would stand the test of time.

Scott and Sam are an adventurous couple, always seeking off-the-beaten-path experiences and embracing the beauty of the world around them. Whether rehabilitating wild animals or playing tourist, their zest for life is contagious.

On a magical October evening in 2022, during the vibrant celebration of Fantasy Fest on Duval Street, donned in colorful costumes, Scott found the perfect moment to propose amidst the joyful chaos . With love in his heart and cheering from strangers, he dropped to one knee, capturing Sam's attention and making it official! The Flamingo Boutique, touched by the enchantment of the moment, joined in the celebration by presenting them with a bottle of champagne. It was a proposal that echoed the spirit of their unique connection.

When it came time to plan their wedding, Scott and Sam knew there was no place more fitting than the “One Human Family” island. Both Scott and Sam envisioned a celebration that would not only unite their families and friends but also showcase the charm and beauty of the island paradise. On their special day, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Oldest House , Scott and Sam exchanged vows. The love and happiness that radiated from their faces was truly a sight to see!

The Key West community embraced Scott and Sam's wedding with open arms, showering them with warmth, support, and an outpouring of love. The celebration was a testament to the deep sense of community and camaraderie that thrives in this small island town. As the evening unfolded, their reception was followed by a parade that closed down the busiest street in Key West. Yes, a parade. A full second line music parade down Duval Street with …police escorts! A VERY FIRST in my career! A joyous affair indeed filled with laughter, a bride and groom popping out of a cake, keg stands with guys in lederhosen, a custom techno song, 100 pounds of shrimp, and so many memorable moments on the dance floor.

As you embark on your journey as a married couple, I wish you both a lifetime of adventure, love, and joy. May you continue to explore the world together, cherishing the memories you create along the way. Your love is a testament to the magic that can be found in the most unexpected places, and I am grateful to have been there to capture the beginning of your happily ever after.
