Abbey Takacs and Wendell Osborne met while working in Paris, France in 2013. Wendell lived in London at the time, and Abbey lived in Munich, Germany. It was in Germany where they ultimately decided to become a couple. Wendell moved back to New York City and Abbey followed two years later.
When this power couple isn't busy designing fragrances for Revlon and working hard in real estate investments, they spend their time traveling, wine tasting, and hosting parties! They were engaged in the iconic Central Park in December 2017 and decided on a destination wedding.
The wedding took place on the private island of Sunset Key, where guest were just minutes away via a ferry ride from Key West, Florida. The rustic beach theme was magnificently executed by the couple's wedding team. Meticulous attention to detail included accents of palm leaves, hand written calligraphy, and tables designated by islands the couple have visited in the past.
Though some severe thunderstorms rushed through a couple of times, the wedding day was simply stunning! The wedding party and guests shook off the rain and enjoyed a wonderful evening that included hand rolled cigars, Cupcake Sushi, and some impressive dance moves.
Just remember rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. A knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! You two are set for life!
Congratulations to you and your families!
