Mindy & Frank Say I Do in Key West!

Mindy Robinson and Francis Meyers love story starts like any other commercial for Match.com - they met online, fell in love, and got engaged! Like most modern relationships they didn’t meet in person until after chatting each other up about our shared likes, dislikes, and love of Doctor Who. Eventually they decided to meet, and after watching Mindy devour a bone-in pork chop with her bare hands it was off to the races. After a year of dates to great DC restaurants, Navy football tailgates, and trips across the US and Europe, they decided to make it official.

During the summer of 2018, they went to Europe to visit Mindy’s cousin Cara and her newborn son Daniel, and then meet up with Francis’ family for a vacation in Spain. While in Barcelona, Francis suggested taking the hop-on/hop-off bus to see the ocean and get a nice lunch. Unbeknownst to Mindy, Francis was extremely nervous - not because he was about to propose, but because he was terrified of losing the ring in his pocket.

After arriving at the beach and getting lunch at the Spanish McDonalds (they had to try fast food patatas bravas), they walked to a nearby pier where Mindy commented on the quickly approaching thunderstorm. Worried the moment was about to pass, Francis got on one knee while Mindy was staring at the clouds, and when she turned he asked her to marry him. And so on a beach in Barcelona, Mindy and Francis were engaged.

The two were married in Key West Florida. After a few showers, the sun came out just in time for a beautiful ocean ceremony. The newlyweds along with their family and friends, celebrated and danced the night away.
