Key West Wedding: The Romans

Paloma Desme and Gabriel Roman met back in high school. Paloma had just switched schools and was hanging out with her friends at the first pep rally. As soon as Paloma walked in to sit down, Gabby glanced over and told her to sit with him. No shame in his game seeing as they had NEVER met! She looked at him with a “are you serious” not laughing face grin and keep walking, he laughs. As soon as the pep rally ended, she had a Facebook friend request. Paloma was not sure how he found her so fast, but the rest was what they call history!

Fast forward several years of dating...Paloma loves traveling and, Gabby, not so much so it was a bit surprising how chill he was about her planning a spontaneous trip to Boston. She was so excited that she didn’t really pay attention to the fact he was also excited for this trip in particular. She mentioned there was a garden she wanted to visit and he insisted to get there early and to not wait in line. She walked in to take a picture of the scenery, and she turned around he was on his knee. It was the most perfect moment and background for the marriage proposal.

They are both from very large families on both sides and some even from Peru so Key West was a good idea to host the wedding after plans for Peru had changed. They were married at St Marys Star of the Sea and partied the night away at the exclusive Casa Marina Resort.
